Preston Gilbert & Sullivan Society The Preston Gilbert &
Sullivan Society was formed in 1954. They have many successes over the years,
not least of which was celebrating their Ruby Jubilee in 1994 by being invited
to take part in the first ever International Buxton Gilbert & Sullivan
Festival, when they were awarded two top prizes & were placed fourth overall
with "Princess Ida". From September each year the Society meets for
rehearsals every Tuesday evening between 8:00pm & 10:00pm at St. Michaels
& All Angels Church Hall, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, culminating in the
annual production which, in addition to the one-week run at The Playhouse, is
also staged for a further week at The Lowther Pavilion in Lytham St Annes. New
members are always welcome, especially from younger people & men of any age! Please contact the
