🎫 Terms and Conditions for Ticket Sales
The following terms and conditions of sale and entry are designed to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit to The Playhouse. A valid ticket entitles the holder to attend the event at the date, time, and location stated on the ticket.
📌 General Conditions
- All tickets are non-refundable.
- By purchasing a ticket, the buyer and/or ticket holder agrees to these terms and conditions.
- All tickets are subject to availability.
- It is the responsibility of the buyer to check all ticket details—especially event name, date, time, and location—at the time of purchase.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged, refunded, or returned except as required under consumer law.
- Each audience member must have a valid ticket. Altered or defaced tickets are not valid. An email confirmation alone does not guarantee entry.
- Tickets must be shown if requested by a Front of House team member.
- The venue reserves the right to:
- Vary the advertised programme;
- Add, withdraw, or substitute artists or content;
- Refuse admission, delay entry for latecomers, or remove individuals for disruptive behaviour.
🎥 Photography & Recording
- Recording or filming during performances is not allowed unless by prior arrangement or otherwise stated.
- Preston Playhouse may film or photograph performances. If you do not wish to appear in footage or photography, please inform a member of the Front of House team on arrival.
🍿 Food & Drink
- Food and alcohol not purchased at the venue may be refused entry.
🔁 Exchanges
At the discretion of management, tickets may be exchanged before a performance, subject to availability:
- Exchanges are only allowed for another performance of the same production.
- Any price difference must be paid.
- If you received an e-ticket, it will be cancelled and replaced with a new ticket and booking reference.
🔄 Resales
You may return unwanted tickets to the Box Office for resale:
- Tickets remain your property. The Box Office acts as an agent only.
- If resold, you will be refunded minus booking and card processing fees.
- We cannot guarantee resale, even for sold-out events.
- Returned tickets will only be listed after all standard tickets are sold.
❌ Cancelled Performances
- If a performance is cancelled by Preston Playhouse for reasons beyond our control, you will be offered a full refund (including booking fees) or the option to exchange.
- We are not responsible for travel or other personal expenses related to cancelled performances.
- Refunds are not available if you cancel or change your booking.
📝 Reservations
- Tickets must be paid for at the time of booking, unless special arrangements are made with the Box Office for block bookings.
- Reservations are held for up to one month before being released for general sale without notice.
- No unpaid reservations are held within 7 days of a performance.
💳 Transaction Fees
- Your booking may include a transaction or booking fee.
- Fees may not be shown in initial prices but are added during checkout.
